What's a Maoomba?

Years ago, while on a trip in Africa, a man and woman made a surprising discovery; among a pile of coconuts was the fuzzy, little head of a giggly baby girl. When they couldn't find anyone to claim her, the couple brought her home to live with them as their daughter. As the little girl grew, her father told her how she came to be a part of their lives and called her Maoomba-goomba Queen of the Jungle. Though the young father had made up the story and the nickname as a way to entertain his daughter, travel, cultures, and creativity became themes in her life.

Before founding Maoomba.com, Stormy Sweitzer - Maoomba herself, spent several years in the US and abroad, working in public health and non-profit organizations. These experiences inspired her to create a company that supports the most vulnerable inhabitants of our world - both those that use Maoomba products and those that contribute to the products' creation.
